Last November, a few athletes at CrossFit Santa Cruz ran their first Metabolic Radar.
That first round was simple. We collected the data, looked at the markers, and used the report to start better conversations about food, training, recovery, and long-term health.
Now, five months later, some of those athletes are re-testing. A few others are getting their first Radar. At the same time, we are in Week 4 of Metabolic Mastery.
The first Radar shows where someone is starting. The second Radar begins to show whether the work is moving the system in the right direction.
That is what we are looking at now.
Are the markers changing?
Are the constrained capacities improving?
Are athletes understanding their own reports better?
Are the coaching conversations getting clearer?
That is the point of Metabolic Radar.
These field notes will be short updates from that process: what we are testing, what we are seeing, what we are learning, and what needs to be refined.
The work has started.
